Projects are listed in the 'Project' page on TAIKAI. Please ensure that the project you want to join either has the 'Germany' tag, or has team members that are registered for the German chapter of the Hackathon.

If you have your own project idea, please fill the 'My Project' page on TAIKAI, use the 'Germany' tag and set the project to 'looking for members'. Add information about what skills are needed so participants looking for a project can also join the project.

Unfortunately, the answer is no. Please ensure that all team members are registered for the hackathon at the same location (e.g. Germany). To be eligible as a team, every member needs to be registered at the same hackathon location.

There are several ways to do this. You can use TAIKAI to find teammates by going to the Participants page. Use the tag 'Germany' and then spot people still looking for a team. You can also use the matchmaking page to see what projects are accepting team members and use the messaging feature on TAIKAI to reach out. 

You can also use Discord. You can leave an informal message in the channels #general-germany or #find-a-team-germany. That way you can find participants who still are looking for a team or projects that are accepting team members.

Unfortunately, the answer is no.

You can ask the dedicated mentors from the so-called 'Central Hub' and the ones that are provided by the organiser of your local hackathon, the one that you are registered to. You can ask your question in #ask-for-help and in case a mentor from another location has the time they can answer, however, this is not guaranteed.

No, attendance was not mandatory. 

The BIC serves as a set of webinars that are intended to inspire you to come up with your own topics in preparation for the hackathon and to get to know what resources will be available to you, including the experts who will be available to guide you through the hackathon. You can still watch recordings here if you're interested.

There are no prerequisites to participation as the basis of the event’s team collaboration lies in its participants’ interdisciplinarity. The main task for you is to find a team that has the right skills for the topic, and where you feel comfortable sharing your skillset. Multidisciplinary teams and creative project ideas are highly encouraged. Regarding specific questions related to data and data access, experts will be available to meet with you on-site or on discord and guide you.

You are free to attend whatever sessions of the hackathon weekend you would like to attend. Ideally, you have some internal organisation within your team, are able to communicate your availability with a team leader or facilitator, and are able to deliver on your tasks as decided by the team.

For the team to be eligible in the competition, it is essential that all participants in the team are registered at the same location.
