The #Green4Europe Hackathon Series is here to bring together tomorrow's creators, leaders and change-makers. We connect data and tech sustainability projects beyond borders: in Georgia, Ukraine and Germany. 

We’re calling for:

If you have a laptop, an internet connection and a willingness to create social impact, we want to hear from you! Our hackathons are best when people from diverse backgrounds apply so we can create project teams with interdisciplinary backgrounds. Invite your friends and colleagues to get involved!

What will you do?

We’re shining a spotlight on sustainability issues specifically in Georgia, Ukraine and Germany and accepting project applications that align with the UN Global Goals which provide solutions for the most pressing issues facing our planet today. 

Here are some recent project applications - you could join their team! 

  • Preambula An online platform to connect, support and develop individuals and projects who align with the UN Global Goals
  • NFT Eco Hub An eco-friendly mining and NFT hub, to support beginner creators and trend eco friendly mining in internet platforms
  • Scooby-Doo  A comprehensive communication campaign, chatbot and interactive map to promote an eco-conscious attitude to hometown cleanliness

The day is yours to get creative and utilize the skill-set in your team to produce new and innovative tech solutions to real world issues that affect Georgia, Ukraine and Germany. The sky is your limit!

Rusudan has worked with startups for 7 years. Together with the Medialab team, Rusudan helps startups, promotes innovation, and aims to bring together startupers, businesses and investors to create a strong startup community in Georgia. Moreover, Rusudan works with the Entrepreneurship Development Centre at Caucasus University and teaches entrepreneurial marketing and strategy at universities in Lithuania and Portugal.

During the past ten years, while working in various international business organizations, Elene gained extensive experience in partnership building and start-up facilitation. Ms. Tamar Aladashvili is responsible for participating in policy making of key directions of the Ministry. She has about 15 years of working experience in the environmental sector of Georgia. She is committed to advocate environmental education programs and activities countrywide to facilitate environmental and agricultural education and raise public awareness, to support public participation in decision-making, to ensure access to information and establish unified information technology policy of the Ministry. She holds master degrees in Sustainable International Development and Public Administration. Her qualification includes climate change, environmentall governance, and conservation as well as environmental education.

Oleksandr Davydenko

Oleksandr Davydenko is an expert in the development of new business areas for TECHIIA holding. Oleksander has more than 10 years of experience in the development of complex infrastructure projects, hardware and software businesses, and data centers. Professor Albert Pinhasov

Professor Albert Pinhasov -Rector of Ariel University (Israel)

Prof. Albert Pinhasov is the Rector of Ariel University, Israel. He is a researcher in the fields of Molecular Biology and Psychopharmacology. Prior to being elected as the Rector, Prof. Pinhasov served as the Vice President and Dean for Research & Development and the Head of the Department of Molecular Biology at Ariel University. Ariel University identifies Sustainability amongst it’s top-priorities, expanding ongoing research while initiating new research, strengthening ‘green’ culture on campus by investing in green building and green resource production, and using its cutting-edge facilities to implement the University’s commitment to creating a healthier environment.

Oleksiy Shkuratov

Oleksiy Shkuratov - Deputy Minister on European Integration Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine

In 2016 Oleksiy defended the dissertation of Doctor of Economics. In 2019 became one of the youngest professors of economics in Ukraine. Laureate of the Presidential Prize for Young Scientists (2017), Laureate of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada's scholarship for the most talented young scientists (2018, 2019). August 18, 2021 was appointed Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine on European Integration.

Kostiantyn Pertsovskyi - Director: Strategy & Transformation, Incubator Team, Samsung Electronics America

Kostiantyn currently leads a range of sustainability initiatives at Samsung Electronics America (including eco-rebates for home appliances, recycling, etc.). Prior to Samsung Kostia worked on strategic projects in sustainability with McKinsey, London. He holds MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and M.Sc. in Computer Science from University of Shevchenko (Kyiv), Cybernetics dept.

Olesya Malevanaya

Olesya Malevanaya - Chairwoman of the Board at the Ukrainian hub, Chapter Director of the international organisation Startup Grind

As project manager, Olesya monitors all the activities being launched in Ukraine and supported by international donors. For 7 years she organized and conducted many training events, intensives, and hackathons for Ukrainian startups. She was also a mentor and the jury of various ompetitions and contests. Olesya is an expert at the Ukrainian Startup Fund, where the main activity is the evaluation of funding requests from startups in ecology, energy and industrial spheres. Olesya was trained in the preparation of grant projects at the Foundation Central European Academy Studies and Certification, and the course "Grant Proposal" Moscow Institute Of Physics And Technology. She is the founder and expert of the GrantCore consulting company.

Vitaliy Kulko

Vitaliy Kulko - Digital Innovation Coach and CSR lead, Isobar Ukraine

In 2010, Vitaliy began his work in the communication holding dentsu Ukraine as a Digital Production Manager. Over the next three years of work, he formed a division for the development of digital content and headed it in the position of Digital Production Director. In the end of 2015, he founded an initiative for internships and employment of deaf and hard of hearing people in advertising and IT, thanks to which more than 37 people were employed in holding agencies and partner companies. The initiative has received awards from international organizations for human rights and accessible work opportunities for people with disabilities. At the moment, Vitaliy is developing innovative solutions for the clients of the Isobar Ukraine agency.
