A design sprint is a short burst of design activity (e.g. user research, prototyping, wireframing, user flow discovery, and UI design) to get a clear definition of the user experience. In this sprint, we will achieve the following goals:

  1. Discover

  • What we know about the user’s needs;
  • which hypotheses we would like to test in the first version;
  1. Define

  • We define a clear backlog of user stories which are technically feasible;
  1. Deliver

  • We deliver user story breakdowns and detailed descriptions, acceptance criteria for each story, user flows, wireframes, UI designs, click dummies;
  1. Prioritise

  • We prioritise the user stories into version 1, 2, and 3;
  1. Plan

  • We plan the development of version 1 in sprints;

Although we are agile with our approach, and the precise output may vary, you will receive the following:

  • User stories
    Backlog of user stories;
    Acceptance criteria for at least 15 stories;

  • User Flows
    E.g. User invites another user

  • Click Dummies for user testing
    (at least 5 demonstrating scenarios such as follows)
    E.g. User can register with their email address

  • UI Design
    Wireframes (where appropriate);
    Minimum 3 high-definition screens optimised for desktop;
    Minimum 5 reusable UI components;
    UI style guide (typography, colours, illustrations, design pattern);
