AI for Impact programme - FAQ

“AI for impact” is a 6-weeks programme that tackles real life challenges brought by different partners. The aim is to create teams that can cooperate to bring solutions for those challenges to generate impact.

No! Our programme is completely free of charge.

The programme is fully remote and open to people living in the EU. Although the final presentation for the finalist teams will be on site at re:publica in Berlin at the end of May.

Yes, as a project leader you can invite people you already know to your team. However, you cannot exclude other participants that are matched to your project, as we want to create a fair and interdisciplinary environment for all teams.

Yes, there will be experienced designers, developers, AI experts, and other specialists that can help your team on demand during the entire programme.

Each participant who is registered on the N3XTCODER Platform gets matched to a project of their liking and skills before the programme starts. The matching algorithm will consider the skills and levels needed for the projects to find the best fit for each individual. Each person will be notified and get access to a dedicated chat with their team.

Participants need to invest at least 6-10 hours per week to work on their projects together with the teams and attend certain webinars during the programme. We consider this to be the amount of time that members need to commit in order to have a promising solution at the end of the programme.. Depending on the scope of the solution that each team wants to develop, certain people might need to invest more or less time.

Participants can indeed propose their own project ideas for the programme "AI for Impact", provided that these ideas fall within the confines of the outlined challenges. This approach allows for creativity and innovation while ensuring that the projects remain aligned with the program's goals and objectives.

Each team should select one of the challenges and propose a solution, or work together on one of the solutions that can be found in or joining the platform. At the end of the programme each team should have functional prototyped (MVP) a solution to present it to the jury.

Each team will have access to specific data, and data sets prepared by our partners. Of course it is not the only data they may use, but will be enough to start to build their prototypes.
