About the Workshop

For our workshop we hook you up with our N3xtcoder experts and one of the most exciting startups in Berlin for a day of intense learning in the context of a real business case.

Starting with the Value Proposition, we dive into understanding the user’s motivations and how they impact the success of a digital product. We also dive into UI/UX and clarify some no-brainer, low-hanging fruit for mobile design.

• Interaction designers & information architects
• Human factors experts, human-computer interaction (HCI) practitioners, and user experience experts (UX)

What you will learn:

During the workshop you will develop your own user experience workflow and get the opportunity to apply concepts from gamification and behavioural economics to a real-world product. We will be guided by experts and receive feedback from Urban Sports Club stakeholders. Here are some of the topics we will cover:

• Product design for mobile applications
• Complex user workflows such as onboarding
• Incentives, Habit formation and the nudge principle

What skills are required:

• Critical thinking
• User-centric mindset
• Logical thinking
• Process modelling and workflow design experience is a bonus
• Basic design skills are a bonus

Urban Sports Club has over 90 employees of about a dozen different nationalities. Based in Berlin with offices in Munich, Cologne and soon Paris, we’re offering regular team and sports activities.

To keep our pace we are looking for a Product Designer, Mobile Developers, PHP Developer, UX/UI Designer and QA Engineer. You will report to the CTO and work closely with the Product Owner and the rest of the development team. You will have the freedom to use state-of-the-art technologies, pick your own hardware and work at our new office in Berlin close to the Spree.
