Perfect Island - digital art workshops is a flexible workshop program for schools that uses artistic processes to give young people access to professional digital work and instruments for shaping their own lives and personal utopias.
Young people should be made digitally fit for future occupations, but unfortunately, they often remain at the level of browsing and chatting. Oldenburger Kunstschule wants to change that. They work with schools, but with a completely different approach: artistically, digitally, in a process-oriented way. They cooperate with technically experienced workshop leaders and media artists, completely open-source. They want to turn passive consumers into active designers!
