Sensor.Community is a contributor driven global sensor network that creates open environmental data. Sensor.Community's mission is to inspire and enrich people’s lives by offering a platform for the collective curiosity in nature that is genuine, joyful and positive.
The project started 6 years ago. So far over 13.000 Sensor Stations have been set up to measure air quality in over 70 countries. The air quality map is automatically refreshed every 2 1/2 minutes. All data collected is available as Open Data.
During the #Green4Europe Hackathon 2023, Sensor.Community would like to collaborate with the tech community to make their data downloadable in different formats. The team also want to enable the overlay of several sensor station signals. The team is looking for data scientists, engineers and product designers to craft those features.
