Civic Coding – 100 social-impact projects supported with AI consultation, custom GPT models trained on client-specific data, technical architecture support and training programmes for non-technical teams, all under Germany's federal initiative.
City of Moers – municipal intranet AI challenge for ~104,000 residents. The challenge was to transform the municipal intranet into a more interactive, intelligent platform that improves search and knowledge retrieval for staff so they can serve citizens faster.
Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband Berlin – the Multilang Socialmap project, winner of N3XTCODER's Open Innovation Programme, built a multilingual chatbot using retrieval-augmented generation to make the social services platform accessible across many languages including easy language.
AI4Democracy – levelling the playing field for political processes. AI tools to help political candidates with limited budgets or technical know-how automate routine tasks, optimise messaging and plan campaigns. The Reclaim TikTok project, winner of N3XTCODER's Open Innovation Programme, used AI-enhanced analytics to analyse political content on TikTok.
Tannenhof Berlin-Brandenburg – Civic Coding-funded AI transcription pilot for therapy sessions on EU-hosted infrastructure, with output formatted for German Pension Insurance reporting.

Citizen-facing AI demands stricter guardrails than internal AI. Start with internal use, then move outward only when accuracy is proven.
